3Dconnexion’s line of 3D mice is now supported by Autodesk Inventor 2011 software.

3Dconnexion 3D mice complement the enhanced design capabilities and specialized tools offered in the latest Inventor software suite. Conceptual design, engineering, and manufacturing professionals working in Inventor 2011 can navigate designs with a 3Dconnexion 3D mouse, allowing them to validate the form, fit, and function of a design before it is built.

3Dconnexion’s 3D mice allow users to simultaneously pan,  zoom, and rotate models or simulations without stopping to select commands. They have programmable buttons that provide quick access to commonly used commands. According to the company, the 3D mice reduce traditional mouse clicks by up to 50 percent.

The 3Dconnexion product line is compatible with these applications, including the Professional Series with the SpacePilot PRO ($399)  and SpaceExplorer ($299), and the Standard Series with the SpaceNavigator ($99)  and SpaceNavigator for Notebooks ($129).
