3Dconnexion Launches CadMouse
The device is designed to specifically support CAD software programs.

3Dconnexion has released the CadMouse, a device designed specifically for CAD software professionals. The mouse has features such as QuickZoom, an advanced laser sensor and a full-sized middle mouse button. The technology offers a power, ergonomic hardware and easy-to-use software, the company states.
The main features for the CadMouse that make it ideal for software applications include:
- An advanced laser sensor with 8200 dpi and a poll rate of up to 1000Hz. It also has responsiveness of 1 msec.
- A full-size middle mouse button so that users do not need to continuously click the scroll wheel throughout the workday.
- A Gesture/Radial menu button that automatically opens a context-sensitive on-screen radial menu.
- QuickZoom functionality to zoom in and out of models with the click of a thumb button.
