Aerospace, Defense & Energy Innovation Hub Opens in California

The space is a place to connect scientists, engineers, logisticians, government contractors and professionals.

The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development has opened the California Innovation Hub for Defense, Energy and Aerospace (iDEA Hub). The center is based in Ridgecrest, CA.

The iDEA Hub offers access to tools that expand science and technology needs. The center is partnered with the Naval Air Warfare Center, Edwards Air Force Base, the Aero Institute and NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center.

According to the governor’s office, the iDEA Hub is intended to facilitate:

  • Business incubation services;
  • Connections for private companies with technology commercialization opportunities;
  • Partnerships between government, industry and academia;
  • Training and network events for idea exchanges and collaboration across industries.
