Allion Labs Adopts Keysight Measurement Solutions

The oscilloscopes and software will allow the company to offer Thunderbold testing services.

Allion Labs has adopted Keysight Technologies’ measurement solutions in order to offer certification testing services for the new Thunderbold 3 hosts and devices.  As a result, Allion is now an Intel authorized certification lab for Thunderbolt 3 technologies, the company states.

Thunderbolt is now operating and supported by a variety of Microsoft operating systems, x86 host devices, desktops, displays and notebooks. To test these devices, Allion Labs uses the following:

  • Infiniium oscilloscopes (Z- and V-series) with a number of high-speed digital compliance software applications
  • M8000 series high-performance modular BERT
  • E5071C ENA Series vector network analyzer, including enhanced time domain analysis option (E5071C-TDR)
  • N5990A test automation software platform
“We are happy to choose Keysight as our strategic partner for developing emerging high-speed digital applications such as Thunderbolt technology,” said James Ou, vice president of Allion. “Keysight has the expertise and complete compliance testing solutions recognized by standard organizations. Keysight’s Thunderbolt 3 solutions, featuring powerful test automation capabilities, ease of use, high integration, flexible bandwidth upgrades of oscilloscopes, along with up to 32 Gbps data rate and extended multi-channel measurement capabilities supported by M8000 series modular BERT, can meet all of our certification testing demands.”
