This ASSESS Insight Webinar will focus on Understanding A Generative Design Enabled Design Paradigm Shift.

ASSESS Initiative will host the September ASSESS Insight Webinar, scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT.  This ASSESS Insight Webinar will focus on “Understanding A Generative Design Enabled Design Paradigm Shift.”

This ASSESS Insight Webinar will explore the ASSESS Strategic Insight paper from the generative design theme. The ASSESS Initiative outlines 15 key areas of capability that can be used to define a Generative Capability Assessment Model for manufacturing applications. Using the Generative Design Capability Assessment Model to capture requirements allows the potential user of generative design to understand what capabilities are required to support their planned application scenario(s) and if generative design workflows are suitable for their application scenario(s).

ASSESS will explore “Understanding A Generative Design Enabled Design Paradigm Shift ” in its second ASSESS Insight Webinar on Thursday, September 3, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. EDT. Items covered in this webinar are: a unified definition for generative design, the vision for generative design, the potential for a paradigm shift, what key capabilities of generative design are required to enable the potential paradigm shift, and a method for determining “suitability.” This webinar should be of interest to anyone who is using, considering, or providing generative design.

The ASSESS Insight Webinar Series is planned to be a combination of ASSESS related presentations and ASSESS theme-based panel discussions.  The webinars are tentatively planned for the first Thursday of every month. Registration for the ASSESS Insight webinars will be open to any who wish to register and attend.

Presentations will be used to inform the audience of advances outlined in the Strategic Insight Papers. The Strategic Insight Papers are authored and critiqued by experts in the engineering simulation field to promote improved understanding and concepts to benefit the engineering simulation community.

The webinars are also going to be utilized to allow panels of experts in the ASSESS theme working groups to discuss a question pertinent to that ASSESS Theme. Again, it is hoped that the audience will also get involved with their thoughts and viewpoints. The webinars will also be used to present and discuss relevant ASSESS presentations that have been given at the annual ASSESS Congress and other events.

The webinars take place Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. EDT. Registration for this ASSESS Insight webinars is open to any who wish to register and attend.  However, the recordings of the ASSESS Insight Webinars will be only available to ASSESS Initiative members.

The ASSESS Initiative Membership program provides the ability for the ASSESS Initiative to expand its efforts and community benefits beyond the annual congress. The ASSESS Membership Program is appropriate for all organizations engaged in Analysis, Simulation, and Systems Engineering activities related to Engineered products & processes. The ASSESS Membership Program is offered in individual or group memberships. Active ASSESS Initiative Members receive access to Members Only content on the ASSESS website and a discount on the ASSESS Congress Registration Fees.
