Bluebeam Software(Pasadena, CA) has updatedBluebeam PDF Revu with version 6.2, which offers added tablet functionality, AutoCAD LT 2009 compatibility, and more.

Bluebeam PDF Revu combines PDF creation with a PDF editor, viewer, and markup tool, simplifying the way you create, markup, edit, and share your PDF files.

On top of Bluebeam PDF Revu's existing 6.0 functionality, notes on the 6.2 release indicate it enables Tablet users to copy and paste between Revu and Windows tablet applications (Journal and OneNote). New pressure sensitivity technology simulates paper and ink to apply thick or thin ink marks based on the pressure you exert on the screen.

6.2 also offers Advanced Keyword Search, Choose Your Interface, Working with Markups, AutoPan, Bookmark & Thumbnails Enhancements, PDF Summary Improvements, Better Performance, and Text Editing Improvements, according to the website.

Notes from the 6.0 release indicate that that version included PDF Markup, Document Reviewing, and other features including One-Button Creation, which, after installation, lets Bluebeam integrate into your MS Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks programs and install buttons at the top of your interface.

The latest software is available in two versions. Bluebeam Standard Edition, which starts at $149 and is $49/seat with volume discounts, lets users who want to create, edit, and markup PDF files and get integrated, one-click PDF creation from MS Office. The Standard Ed. can convert to 11 formats from any Windows application, and is available as afree trial .

The CAD Edition, which starts at $199 and is $69/seat with volume discounts, is a professional PDF solution for CAD users who want integrated one-click PDF from AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office and batch creation from AutoCAD and SolidWorks, The CAD Ed. converts to 11 formats, and is also available as afree trial .
