BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise 2014 Launched

The platform provides centralized deployment, extended audit trails and SharePoint integration.

BlueCielo has launched its Meridian Enterprise engineering content management and collaboration software platform. It is designed to optimize business processes related to the creation, collaboration, distribution and management of 2D and 3D CAD engineering data plus additional document formats, the company states.

Version 2014 offers enhancements for central deployment scenarios including Citrix and use of the authoring web access client. Users can utilize improved 64-bit server environments and Hypertrieve 5 for central deployment. It supports the latest versions of authoring applications such as Microsoft Office, the Autodesk 2015 family, Bentley MicroStation and Dassault’s SolidWorks.

Integration for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and 2013 is also available, and Meridian Enterprise allows full document control, transmittal management functionality and distribution matrices support within the SharePoint environment. The Meridian Project Portal can run SharePoint 2013 both on-premises and in Microsoft Azure for a hybrid cloud solution.

Available add-ons include Advanced Project Workflow, Asset Management, eMail Manager and FDA modules. Furthermore, the Meridian Explorer application provides a read-only search environment that can be easily integrated into maintenance management systems such as IBM Maximo and SAP EAM. The new version has a discussion functionality, which can be stored within the combined audit trail.
