BOXX Technologies announces that its entry-level APEXX E3 workstation now features 13th Gen Intel Core i7 and i9 processors. The new CPUs offer performance for CAD, 3D design, motion media and other professional software applications, according to BOXX.

“Intel is making it easier than ever for creators to translate their visions into reality with the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors,” says Intel’s Roger Chandler, vice president and general manager, Creator and Workstation Solutions, Client Computing Group. “From intensive tasks like CAD and 3D modeling, to video editing and game development, BOXX APEXX E3 systems powered by Intel Core processors deliver increased performance and responsiveness for professionals who expect the most out of their systems.”

13th Gen Intel Core i7 and i9 processors featuring performance hybrid architecture are designed to improve hardware and software efficiency and performance with multiple cores and features like Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, 20 total CPU PCIe lanes, and up to 36MB Intel Smart Cache, according to BOXX.

The new 24-core Intel processor inside the APEXX E3 runs up to 5.8GHz max turbo frequency, while the BOXX workstation also includes advanced liquid cooling, 128GB of memory, and an NVIDIA RTX A2000 GPU. Support for the latest DDR5 provides control over memory configuration, while Thunderbolt 4 support provides reportedly simple and fast peripheral connections. APEXX E3 is purpose-built for SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, and Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, Cinema 4D, V-Ray and other applications.

“In a challenging economy, architects, engineers, 3D designers, and motion media artists often have to choose price over performance when making computer hardware decisions,” says Bill Leasure, BOXX VP of Sales and Marketing. “APEXX E3 featuring new 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors is the perfect solution. It’s a lower cost workstation that is still a powerful upgrade over their current system and will keep them competitive creatively and solid financially.”

In other product news, BOXX Technologies announced that its APEXX W4workstation has been upgraded with a new Intel Xeon W-3400 series processor. APEXX W4 is purpose-built for visualization, simulation, rendering and other GPU-accelerated compute applications.

A new single socket solution featuring up to 56 cores, Intel Xeon W-3400 processors reach up to 4.8GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0. The CPUs are also equipped with 112 processor PCIe 5.0 lanes for more I/O throughput for networking, graphics, and storage, along with 3rd Gen Intel Deep Learning Boost for accelerated AI performance. Also, the expandable and customizable APEXX W4 is available with a rackmount kit and features liquid-cooling, a 1,600-watt power supply, up to 4TB of memory, and up to four NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPUs, making it ideal for GPU-intensive workloads across media & entertainment, architecture, engineering & construction, manufacturing & product design, and other industries, the company reports.

In addition to the APEXX W4, the new, 56-core Intel Xeon W-3400 processor will also power the BOXX RAXX W3, a rack-mounted platform purpose-built to accelerate rendering and simulation. RAXX W3 is also configurable with up to four NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPUs. Lastly, the Intel Xeon processor family will be a component of the APEXX W3 workstation, which is now equipped with a 24-core Intel Xeon W-2400 CPU and up to two NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPUs.
