Latest version of CFD and CAE tool includes new rendering features.

CEI has released EnSight 9.1. EnSight is a tool for CFD and CAE data visualization and post-processing,  and possessing capacity.

New features of EnSight 9.1 include:

  • Volume rendering.
  • Surface rendering using transparency channel in the color palette.
  • Session files, enhanced over context files to increase reusability of work over multiple datasets.
  • Welcome screen with session files to speed access to current projects
  • New readers for FEA, including IDEAS and Ansys Autodyn
  • AcuSolve reader from Acusim now included in the distribution
  •  

Enhancements to EnSight 9.1 include:

  • An improved palette editor, which also supports volume and surface rendering
  • Support for polyhedral models in Fluent direct reader
  • Reduction in memory use for models using polyhedral elements
  •  

Volume rendering allows users to peer into the 3D domain and see the velocity, pressure, stress, temperature field all at one time,  according to the company. Users can also use volume rendering immersed with traditional visualization techniques, such as streamlines, isosurfaces and clip planes.
