Application now available for IQ 44-inch wide format scanner series.

Contex announced the expansion of PageDrop, a cloud-based solution to process wide format scans, to its IQ 4400 series scanners. The free mobile app bypasses computers and scanning software for single page scans, enabling smartphone and tablet users to send Contex-scanned documents directly to their desired destinations, including Dropbox, HP ePrint, and e-mail.

As part of its current “Spring Savings” promotion, Contex is offering discounts of up to 40% on the IQ 4490 as well as the HD 5450 and HD Ultra i3690S scanners through June 30. Each scanner comes with a stand, NextImage software, and a multiple-year onsite warranty.

“We first developed PageDrop to address customer demand for a single-page mobile scanning and distribution solution,” said Steve Blanken, general manager, Contex Americas. “The response to PageDrop has been incredibly encouraging, and we’re excited to introduce even more Contex customers to the app.”
