Datakit (Santa Barbara, CA & Lyon, France) achieved Gold Partner with SolidWorks Corporation (Concord, MA) for the integration of CATIA V5 and SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
The product, enhanced to meet the certified Gold products criteria supplied by SolidWorks, was successfully tested with SolidWorks 2008. It uses same graphic and display as SolidWorks, its help feature is conformed to SolidWorks’, and both products run on the same operating system. It is fully Windows compliant. CATIA V5 to SolidWorks operates directly on SolidWorks geometry and all conversion of all .CATPart and .CATProduct.
As requested by SolidWorks, industrial companies verified the quality, the integration level and benefits of the converter. There is no blip in the process or misinterpretation of the original data. SolidWorks Corporation’s final review ensures that appropriate levels of support are available and that Datakit intends to regularly update and upgrade the product.
The CAD translator CATIA V5 to SolidWorks will be exhibited at SolidWorks World 2008, currently under way in San Diego.
