DP Technology Announces ESPRIT 2015

The release has enhanced productivity, expanded 5-axis milling capabilities and greater CAD format compatibility.

DP Technology, a provider of CAM software, has released the latest version of ESPRIT. This flagship platform, according to the company, helps increase productivity for a range of machine tool applications. Version 2015 has intelligent and strategic machining, improved CAD-to-CAM data exchange and a productivity boost.

For intelligent machining, ESPRIT has 5-axis cycles that reduce time and make it possible to completely machine blades in a single setup. The Port Roughing cycle has also been added to remove material to create a restricted opening.

Strategic machining capabilities have been redesigned to accommodate stock automation for multi-tasking machines with mill, turn and drill functions.

The CAD-to-CAM data transfer improvements support three new geometry types — sketches, feature profiles and curves. These types can be exchanged with CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER and NX/UG.
