Good luck has nothing to do with why some products flop while others pop. Successful products are the result of hard work, taking advantage of opportunity and wise, well-informed decision-making. Today’s Pick of the Week looks at a product that’s a success because some smart people worked hard, made good decisions and are now taking advantage of the opportunity build on that success for your good luck.
Canon Solutions America designed its Océ ColorWave 500 printing system from day one for workgroups and central print operations that needed a high productivity system to generate large-format CAD and color graphics. This monochrome and color printing system can print, cut-to-size, stack and collate up to 225 D-size monochrome or 212 D-size color prints in an hour. Print resolution is 600x600 dpi (dots per inch). It’s eco-friendly and low heat and noise, so you can deploy an Océ ColorWave 500 printing system as a walk-up print/copy/scan system as well as a networked resource and as a secure cloud connectivity asset. A compact unit, it provides a lot of automation and a tablet-like user interface that make it easy to use. For example, the Océ ColorWave 500 automatically selects print modes, positions images and determines the best media roll for a job. When you’re copying or scanning something, it’ll detect the document’s width and compensate for wrinkles and light colors automatically.
Now what Canon Solutions America has done is extend the Océ ColorWave 500 printing system’s application range by increasing the number of media options at your disposal from 12 to 26. What this means is that you can now print plain old documents, CAD files, GIS maps, architectural drawings, banners, backlit signs and even window clings all on one device. It also means your organization’s marketing and engineering sales teams can get in on the action, making the Océ ColorWave 500 a true enterprise-wide resource.
You can learn more about the new media offerings as well as the Océ ColorWave 500 printing system in today’s Pick of the Week write-up. Hit the link at the end of the main write-up to go to a dedicated page on the Océ ColorWave 500. Look for the “Demo” tab. Click it to access three (registration free) videos. The middle video provides a 14-minute introduction. It’ll show you how the Océ ColorWave 500 gets the wrinkles out of documents. It’s pretty neat.
