Eurocom has launched 4TB M.2 NVMe solid-state drives (SSDs), now available in all Eurocom models, impacting its laptop storage capabilities. Eurocom uses fast Sabrent Rocket 4TB M.2 NVMe SSDs (sized 22x80 mm), that are small enough to fully meet the size and heat requirements of thin-and-light laptops, according to the company.

Eurocom uses Sabrent Rocket 4TB M.2 NVMe SSDs, where NVMe SSD read and write speeds are fast. In general, 2.5-in. SATA3 SSDs have a read and write speed of about 500 MB/s while NVMe SSDs read and write speeds are about 3,000 MB/s, or 6 times faster than 2.5-in. SATA3 SSDs, the company says.

This difference in read and write speeds targets power users who work with massive amounts of data and have little room for error when it comes to their critical data being transferred and stored, according to Eurocom. These power users include, but are not limited to: IT professionals such as network managers and IT architects, and software designers/engineers who want to reduce their transfer and render times. If a user is working with a large amount of data, an NVMe SSD can help those looking to improve transfer/render times while reducing the risk of losing important data.

Along with its storage options, Eurocom packs other hardware components inside its lightweight, high-performance laptops. This is showcased in the Nightsky RX15 Superlaptop, where this 15.6-in. system can be configured with up to an i9 9980HK CPU, non-Max Q NVIDIA RTX 2070 GPU, up to 64 GB of RAM and 16 TB of SSD storage to provide power and performance to its users.

The 15.6-in. Nightsky RX15 Superlaptop supports up to 2x 4TB M.2 NVMe SSDs combined with 1x 2.5-in. SATA3 SSD for a total of 16TB of internal SSD storage. Weighing 2.5 kg/5.5 lbs, the Nightsky RX15 is lightweight and compact, making this system easy to carry around.

Eurocom has equipped the Nightsky RX15 with easy-to-access dual-channel memory slots supporting up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM. The RX15 also has a total of three physical storage drives for up to 16 TB of SSD storage available in RAID 0/1 configuration. Eurocom users are able to swap out and/or replace internal components themselves, eliminating the need to send the laptop back to the manufacturer for any needed repairs or upgrades.

Eurocom Nightsky RX15 offers user-customization and upgradeability while also being a lightweight capable of performance with its hardware parts, copper heat sinks for cooling, immersive 15.6-in. display OLED 4K, along with many ports and security features.
