Eurocom Ships P5 Pro Laptop

The company is outfitting the system with a Samsung SM951 M.2 PCIe solid-state drive.

Eurocom has added the Samsung SM951 M.2 PCIe SSD (solid-state drive) in its P5 Pro high-performance laptop. The system is Intel-based and comes with four drive bays and up to 32GB of memory.

The Samsung SSD uses a 128GB 19nm MLC interface and adopts the L1.2 low-power standby mode. This reduces the drive’s power consumption to under 2mW.

For processing power, the P5 has Intel Core i7-4700 Desktop Processor series support via an Intel Z97 Express Chipset. Users can also choose to equip it with graphics from NVIDIA GeForce.

“Our technical team recently completed a series of storage testing, pitting the Samsung SM951 against a Plextor M6e M.2 PCIe SSD and a Micron M600 SATA M.2 SSD and published the results on our website.  The results we are achieving in the P5 Pro are really astounding with these M.2 SSD drives, the Samsung SM951 will blow our customers away” Mark Bialic, president at Eurocom.
