HBM Releases New Data Acquisition System

The device can acquire measurements at up to 400 MB/s.

HBM Inc., a provider of data acquisition systems, has introduced the HBM GEN7tA transient recorder and data acquisition system. The device can acquire and stream data at up to 400 MB/s, making it suited for applications such as avionics testing or ones that require hundreds of channels.

The GEN7tA is equipped with a 1 Gbit Ethernet interface that can directly stream recorded data at approximately 100 MB/s. Users can choose a 1 Gbit Optical Ethernet interface for isolated control of the mainframe and cable lengths up to 6.2 mi. It has seven slots for Genesis data acquisition cards. This supports a total of 224 channels per unit.

The device also supports data acquisition cards that enables users to take measurements with current probes, strain gauges, piezoelectric sensors and TEDS sensors. HighSpeed cards are also available for digital signals, measuring voltage signals up to +/- 1000V or collecting data at up to 100 million samples per second.
