ICEM Ltd. (Southampton, UK; icem.com) has released ICEM Shape Design (ISD) R17, a suite of tools for the creation, validation, and modification of any type of surface, from freeform surfaces to complex shapes. Developed by ICEM on the Dassault Systemes CAA V5 software architecture, it integrates seamlessly with CATIA V5 and other CAA V5-based PLM environments.
New functionality in the suite includes numerous enhancements reflecting feedback from users seeking innovations in the solution. ISD R17 delivers new geometry creation, modification, and quality-analysis capabilities in addition to enhancements for advanced surfacing options.
The advanced surface modeling capabilities deliver solutions ranging from general surface modeling to specialized surface engineering requirements of specific industry sectors.
ISD R17 is available as a “collaborative” installation with access to all licensed CATIA V5 products or as a”‘standalone” installation requiring no CATIA V5 software. For more information, visit icem.com.
