JETCAM to Showcase CrossTrack 3 at Composites Europe

The new version supports sheet metal manufacturing in addition to composites, a new interface and a variety of added features.

JETCAM International is showcasing version 3 of its CrossTrack composite manufacturing software in Dusseldorf, Germany in October at the Composites Europe conference.

The new version supports sheet metal manufacturing in addition to composites, a new interface and a variety of added features. CrossTrack is a platform that provides traceability and control of materials, material life, components/plies, assemblies/kits as well as orders and nests.

Version 3 enables users to build quantity-based assembly structures, utilize a nest allocation display feature and detail the relationship between jobs to be cut and material to be used.

For the interface, new controls have been added to allow users to retrieve information faster, the tooltips include thumbnail images and additional filtering and searching tools are available.

Other features that are now in CrossTrack 3 include:

  • CAD importing that takes full advantage of JETCAM Expert’s CAD converters, supporting third-party CAD systems.
  • Traceability logging for sheet metal stock.
  • Support for JETCAM Expert’s version 6 high performance nesting.
  • A new static nest allocation scheduler.
“This new release heralds a significant breakthrough for JETCAM,” said Martin Bailey, general manager of JETCAM International. “We have many customers manufacturing in sheet metal, composite or both. CrossTrack 3 provides a single solution which not only completely automates the CAM and nesting process but also provides end to end traceability to the exacting standards required by the aerospace and automotive industries.”
