Materiality Software Releases Version 8 of Flagship Software

The platform offers a unified library of materials data for all engineering roles within an enterprise.

Materiality has release version 8 of its software platform, which offers a suite of productivity software for materials-related tasks within an enterprise. According to the company, the application has a unified library structure, allowing all engineers to interact with information particular to their roles.

The software has such modules as the CAE Modeler, Specifications Manager, Data Loader and Materials and Viewer. Each of these plug-ins provide tools for the CAE expert, materials engineer and test laboratory.

An important upgrade in Version 8 includes the introduction of discrete, but interconnected, libraries that hold materials information. Each library is now separately managed so that users can view, control or share materials properties data, CAE material cards, test reports or materials specifications as needed.

“Product innovation success relies on centralized data and knowledge resources that each engineer can relate to,” said Hubert Lobo, president and CTO of Matereality. “This allows for projects to be completed more efficiently and eliminates risks associated with unmanaged material data, thus accelerating the pace of product development.”
