Mellanox Joins Nutanix Elevate Technology Alliance

The membership will help the company produce a fully converged, easy-to-use network infrastructure.

Mellanox Technologies, a provider of high-performance, interconnect solutions for data center servers and systems, has joined the Nutanix Elevate Technology Alliance Program. In doing so, the company plans to provide an easy-to-use and fully converged solution from compute, storage and networking to enterprise computer.

The Nutanix enterprise cloud platform leverages Web-scale engineering and consumer-grade design to natively converge compute, storage and virtualization into a software-defined solution with machine intelligence. The result is predictable performance, cloud-like infrastructure consumption, robust security and seamless application mobility for a broad range of enterprise applications, the company states.

The Mellanox switches offer flexibility for various configurations of different scale, network speed, and high availability requirements, as well as the ability to scale from 10/25 Gb/s to 40/50/100 Gb/s. The Mellanox switch solutions include the NEO network orchestration and automation software platform to make the network invisible too.

“Networking is critical to hyperconverged solutions and Mellanox Ethernet switches make the network truly invisible by forwarding data at full line rate with zero packet loss for any packet sizes and port combinations,” said Kevin Deierling, vice president of Marketing, Mellanox. “Our Ethernet switches work in concert with Nutanix so that applications are easy to deploy and manage. Together with Nutanix, we offer data center customers an efficient solution with the lowest CAPEX and OPEX on the market.”
