Australian company, SPEE3D, designers and manufacturers of metal 3D printers, are expanding globally into new markets. A recent agreement with Infocus Laser Systems means the SPEE3D technology will now be available in Brazil.

Infocus is a technology company based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. For 22 years the company has focused on facilitating production processes using laser technology. In the last 5 years, Infocus has focused on the additive manufacturing (AM) market and has successfully developed metal AM markets in aerospace & defense, universities and R&D, oil & gas/energy, medical and automotive industries.

The addition of SPEE3D technology now means they can offer clients expertise in cold spray additive manufacturing (CSAM). Infocus will provide the technical sales and after-sales service including installation, training and day-to-day support of SPEE3D machines.

Infocus is led by Welodimer Neustadter Jr. As a technology enthusiast with extensive experience and training in Metal AM, Welodimer’s goal is to supporting AM businesses in Brazil.

“SPEE3D’s metal AM process using supersonic jets of metal powder onto a substrate is a fascinating idea,” says Neustadter. “It got my attention as a one-of-a-kind technology to improve the speed and cost at which metal parts can be made.”

“Our unique Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM) technology will benefit many industries in Brasil and provide our Customers with a competitive advantage,” adds Bruce Colter, vice president and general manager for the America’s Region.
