Right Hemisphere(Fremont, CA), provider of enterprise graphics management software, hasannounced new software support for JT, the UGS 3D visualization standard for visualization and information sharingbetween PLM software applications. The company’s new JT Modulesoftware establishes a new path to get data authored in the JT formatfrom both UGS products, such as Teamcenter product knowledge managementcollaboration software, and other PLM software vendors into theUniversal 3D (U3D) format used in Adobe Acrobat 7.0.

The software further extends the utilityof JT data says the company, by producing lighter weight files from 3D JT files forinteractive training, technical publications, and other product supportofferings.  The software allows users to take original JT 3Ddata and automatically generate technical illustrations from it, addinteractivity to it, automatically generate an exploded view animationof the data, and create photorealistic images. It also allows export toa wide variety of 2D and 3D formats and publishing environments.

The software is designed to enable 3D JT data to becombined with multiple CAD formats, an example beingwhen a user wants to combine native CATIA data with 3D JT data. RightHemisphere software can integrate both file types in a single, large, enterprise publishing application or common desktop application such asa Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe Acrobat, says the company.

In other company news: Right Hemisphere is expanding its softwareportfolio with its announcement of the SDRC I-DEAS Module during COFES in Scottsdale, AZrecently. The new software works with the company’s DeepServer enterprise or Deep Exploration client software to transformI-DEAS 3D CAD files into lightweight, optimized graphical models readyfor use in downstream publishing applications.

This addition lets users automatically generate technicalillustrations, add interactivity, automatically generate exploded viewanimations, and create photorealistic images using the original I-DEAS3D model, which can then be exported to a wide variety of 2D and 3D formats andpublishing environments, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Officeapplications.

Right Hemisphere’s enterprise graphics management software providessupport for over 120 different types of 2D and 3D data files, andincludes integration with other native CAD formats. These formatsinclude Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA, SolidWorks, and Unigraphics, and a rangeof other medical, scientific, and AEC application formats.  And with the software development kit, customers can also writesupport for virtually any additional file format they need, says thecompany.

JT Module and SDRC I-DEAS Module are available this month from thecompany’s website, where trial versions of the software may also bedownloaded. To locate a reseller please go to: http://www.righthemisphere.com/store/index.php.
