MSC Software Releases Apex Cheetah

This version has added assembly representations and generative linear structural analysis.

MSC Software has unveiled MSC Apex Cheetah, the latest release of the CAE platform. This version includes an updated Apex Modeler and the addition of Apex Structures. Cheetah, according to the company, enhances the user’s daily workflow and daily productivity with design analysis.

The updated modeler, users have an added Geometry Checks tool, functionality for geometry cleanup stitching and automatic surface extension.

Also available is a new Analysis Readiness tool that leverages integrated solver methods to check items such as element quality, proper material and selection attribution, part connectivity and loads and constraints definitions.

“Cheetah is a milestone release for MSC Apex, now delivering its first solver integrated solution for interactive and incremental structural analysis,” said Hugues Jeancolas, MSC Apex product manager. “Modeling, validating, solving and exploring designs has never been this efficient and easy. MSC Apex helps users to crush the amount of time that it normally takes to build and validate models, a task that does not add any value to the design process. This frees our users to focus on delivering not just acceptable designs but ones that are optimal — in an environment that is fun to use.”
