The German software manufacturer CADENAS GmbH presents the latest version of its 3D CAD download portal PARTcommunity. Version 9 simplifies once again the locating of desired components as well as the download of CAD engineering data for engineers and purchasers and takes user-friendliness to the next level. In addition, over 500 component manufacturers, who provide the CAD models of their products on the download portal, benefit from the advanced statistics tool for an efficient market analysis.

The most important innovations of PARTcommunity 9 include the following:

On the download portal at PARTCommunity, users can download millions of engineering data in over 150 common native CAD formats from more than 500 product catalogs free of charge and import directly into their CAD system. Included, for example, are Inventor and Revit by Autodesk, Solid Edge and NX by Siemens PLM Software as well as SOLIDWORKS by Dassault Systèmes.

Before downloading, each user specifies once which CAD formats and which 2D and 3D layers the product data of PARTcommunity should be made available to him. This selection process has been simplified and optimized with the new software Version 9, so that a quick change between CAD formats is possible. Engineers and purchasers get to the desired CAD model of a product with just a few clicks. During the selection process, any CAD formats that are expired and can no longer be used will be displayed for them.

Searching for the desired component has again been simplified with PARTcommunity 9 and the new dynamic filter assistant. The new feature searches through the selected catalog or the respective catalog directory for frequently used variables and displays them. Users can then filter according to certain variables or start a search with the displayed values within the catalog.

The new catalog tags provide even more clarity and findability of important components within PARTcommunity catalogs. They display terms that are frequently found within the manufacturer catalog or directories in a so-called tag cloud. By clicking on the respective catalog tag, a search for components in the catalog is started and the user is shown a display of components allocated to that term.

The Inbox has been further optimized with PARTcommunity 9. The mailbox was introduced with the software Version 8 and offered component manufacturers the possibility to inform users about products and services via PARTcommunity messages. As of now, an envelope symbol in the PARTcommunity header lets you know when new messages are received plus the number of unread messages. Clicking the envelope will take the user directly to the inbox.

PARTcommunity provides component manufacturers a comprehensive statistics tool that clearly shows all information on CAD downloads and thus the possibility of systematically selecting without endless Excel lists. In the new PARTcommunity Version 9, the statistics tool has been enhanced. As of now, component manufacturers can display all relevant diagrams simultaneously for a certain statistic and export into a PDF document. Moreover, further information has been added to the reports on the start page of the statistics tool, the dashboard. This includes information such as from which domains the most CAD downloads take place or which CAD formats are preferred for 3D CAD models downloads.
