Noesis Solutions Releases Optimus 10.14

Update includes new features Particle Swarm Optimization, Cluster Analysis and Enhanced Tasklist.

Optimus 10.14 from Noesis Solutions is now available, with enhancements focused on productivity and optimization. These updates include Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Cluster Analysis and greater user control.

The Particle Swarm Optimization is an easy-to-use application for single- and multi-objective optimization, according to the company. Noesis Solutions says PSO handles high-dimension optimization challenges efficiently, supports parallel execution of experiments and delivers accurate design point or Pareto front. This algorithm can also match existing genetic and evolutionary algorithm results.

This Optimus update also includes Cluster Analysis, which helps identify valuable correlations between and within clusters. Fully automated, this feature incorporates K-Means, Hierarchical and Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM) clustering. Optimus also supports visualization tools for graphic cluster evaluation, including cluster scatter and parallel coordinate charts.

Version 10.14 incorporates an enhanced Tasklist for greater user control. Users can now run Tasklist monitoring, which displays real-time progress of the automatic sequencing of all involved individual methods and models. According to a company press release, engineers can use the Tasklist functionality to shape the most efficient optimization strategy, offering more flexibility and control.
