“Projected capacitive touch panels have rapidly become the standard for a durable, engaging user interface. Now that we’re expanding the viewing and touch surface area, we’ve dramatically extended the types of systems that could capitalize on such an interface,” says Phil Spivey, president and CEO of Ocular. “In particular, we believe this will drive projected capacitive touch displays into even more applications. We have learned through customer feedback that people prefer this type of user interface. Now, increased size along with the rugged durability of these displays, make them a natural fit for applications where environmental conditions can be challenging and multiple people need to collaborate or run separate actions in parallel.”
