Simpleware 7.0 Now Available

The new release includes a particles analyzer, animation capabilities and a materials calculation module.

Simpleware has launched the latest version of its flagship software. The platform is suited for image processing, analysis and model generation. This new release includes a particles analyzer, centerline tools, animation tools and modules for calculating material properties.

The new Animations tool allows users to create videos of models with options for predefined and custom settings as well as high-quality file export. The Centerlines Editor can help analyze data connectivity.

Version 7.0 also has three new software modules for calculating effective materials properties. These include +SOLID for elastostatic properties, +FLOW for permeability and +LAPLACE for electrical conductivity/permittivity.

Additional features include boundary layer meshing for finite element models, an ABAQUS CFD (computational fluid dynamics) export option, orientation overlays and mesh snapshots.

“We are extremely proud of this new release. Everyone worked hard and we really tried to address our users' needs both in terms of usability and functionality. It includes a number of significant changes that will benefit all our users, from improvements to meshing performance to new modules for materials analysis. There are also improvements that will greatly automate the segmentation of some datasets that previously looked intractable or required a lot of user interaction,” said Viet Bui Xuan, chief technology officer, Simpleware.
