UberCloud to Add CPU 24/7, NICE Software Solutions to Marketplace

Upcoming releases include OpenFOAM for FEA and NICE DCV for running graphic-intensive programs on the cloud.

UberCloud, a cloud computing marketplace, is expanding its offerings for engineers and scientists. The company is partnering with NICE Software and CPU 24/7 to add multiple applications in the marketplace.

With NICE Software, UberCloud is developing a cloud-enabled NICE DCV and EnginFrame, an advanced commercial grid portal. Both applications will provide professional support and integrate with application vendors such as ANSYS in the cloud.

NICE DCV will deliver efficient and optimize remote access for graphic-intensive, off-the-shelf 3D applications running on desktop environments in the cloud. The platform integrates with major CAD, CAE, Petro-technical, medical and scientific visualization software and is encrypted based on enterprise-level security standards.

“Working with the UberCloud marketplace opens NICE to a new and exciting market and online sales channel fostering the presence in the cloud market with an amazingly simple shopping experience for our customers with a focus on the HPC-cloud,” said Karsten Gaier of Italian NICE Software at the ISC Cloud Conference. “Together with UberCloud, NICE offers cloud customers easy access to the NICE leading edge HPC-Cloud enabling solutions in the domain of Remote 3D Visualization and easy to use HPC management portals.”

Also being added to the Ubercloud marketplace is the CPU 24/7 application OpenFOAM. This open source CFD (computational fluid dynamics) platform has a range of features that cover complex fluid flows involving chemical reactions, turbulence and heat transfer to solid dynamics and electromagnetics. It is fully integrated with CPU 24/7 cloud resources on the online marketplace, and users can expect more products within the next few months.

“The UberCloud marketplace is an open and transparent market for HPC On Demand services, enabling engineers and scientists to find the appropriate HPC On Demand solution, to compare and purchase them at the press of a button. In fact, it is a great opportunity to easily access temporary and scalable computing resources that allow organizations to run more complex and accurate simulations, said Ing. Matthias Reyer, chief executive officer and co-founder of CPU 24/7. “Together with UberCloud, CPU 24/7 offers cloud customers easy access to leading edge HPC-Cloud enabling CAE solutions through our easy to use Cloud portal, called Resource Area.”
