New features of PV-Wave 8.5 include 64-bit support for three new platforms.

PV-Wave Version 8.5, the next-generation of Visual Numerics’(San Ramon, CA) visual data analysis software, is now shipping. Thesoftware is designed help engineers, scientists, and business analystsbuild visual applications on a wider range of platforms and performanalyses or data mining of large and complex data sets.

PV-Wave’snew features include 64-bit support for three new platforms: SunSolaris, IBM AIX, and AMD Opteron Linux. Other upgrades include newmath functions for partitioning arrays and evaluating operations suchas determinants, N-dimensional integrals, matrix inversion, tensortransformations, Jacobian, and Legendre. Other highlights of the newproduct include OpenMP for IBM AIX and new online help anddocumentation.

PV-Wave 8.5 is available immediately on anumber of operating systems, including Windows 2000/XP, UNIX, andLinux. For single users, Windows, and Linux, pricing starts at $1,995;UNIX and OpenVMS pricing starts at $4,395.
