AMFG reports that 3D Nation has chosen to use AMFG's manufacturing execution system software to optimize its Additive Manufacturing capability.

3D Nation

Since starting during the 2020 pandemic, 3D Nation has been developing and prototyping products for automotive, mechanical engineering and aerospace sectors. With expanding end-of-use production facilities, furnished by a range of stereolithography, selective laser sintering and fused deposition modeling printers, 3D Nation is seeking to capitalize on its expansion, while delivering outcomes for customers.

The adoption of AMFG’s MES software and the Instant Quote feature in the Ordering Portal has allowed 3D Nation to continue focusing on business-to-consumer designs and spare parts for antique cars, to its presence in automotive and focusing on larger scale engineering projects.

The Instant Quotation feature of the AMFG MES software ensures the time spent on individual, manual quoting is reduced.

Also, using the back end of the portal, machine workers will be able to have a complete overview of operations. This overview will enable quality assurance processes and will allow 3D Nation to accept greater numbers of orders within production parameters. With a bird’s eye view of production operations available to engineers and machinists, customers can track order progress, with real-time order updates.

3D Nation’s production parameters, supported by a range of machines, are programmed into the Instant Quote software. The software uses algorithms to ensure a correct pricing structure is adopted, eliminating the need for individual quoting calculations.

The customization of the portal was another benefit of AMFG identified by Cedric Vazquez Boo and Jon Yates, managing director of 3D Nation. The customizable console can encompass individual machine parameters and be embedded into 3D Nation’s website, complete with company branding. Customers can upload CAD files directly to the company website.

“Partnering with AMFG is a strategic move that aligns perfectly with 3D Nation’s ethos of innovation, customer satisfaction, and scalable growth,” says Jon Yates, managing director, 3D Nation. “The integration of AMFG’s MES software into our operations is more than a technological upgrade; it’s a transformative leap that allows us to deliver unparalleled quality and efficiency to our clients.”

Commenting on the new partnership between the two companies, hastened by an onboarding process of 2 weeks, “We are delighted to play a part in 3D Nation’s growth, and firmly believe our software will enable them to reach their goal of continuous growth, whilst enabling them to continuously deliver a premium service,” says AMFG’s Head of Implementation Rohan Graham.
