Lenovo introduces two mobile workstations to its expanding product portfolio. Both are equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen PRO CPUs. Lenovo says each has an important placement in the range between thin and light and high-end mobile performance.
Lenovo calls the ThinkPad P14S a “be creative anytime, anywhere” mobile workstation. The 14-in. chassis features integrated AMD Radeon PRO graphics and the AMD Enterprise software driver. The P14S uses the 6000 U-Series CPU. The 6000 series is based on AMD’s Zen 3+ architecture, and are made exclusively for mobile workstations.
Lenovo says the ThinkPad P15v closes the gap in price/performance between entry level and high-end mobile workstations. It comes with the AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 H-Series CPU, and is matched with NVIDIA RTX-based mobile GPUs. The 15-in. chassis sports 15.6-in. universal high-definition display. This model offers upgradeable DDR5 memory, to as high as 64 GB of RAM.
The P15v mobile workstation ships with an AMD CPU and an NVIDIA GPU.
Users who like to pound the keyboard will appreciate the 1.5 mm key travel.
Lenovo says the P15v offers a variety of legacy ports, such as HDMI, full-size SD slot and an RJ45 port.
Engineers and Hollywood content creators are power users. Lenovo recently announced DreamWorks studio has selected Lenovo as its “preferred workstation innovation partner” as well as the studio’s data center innovation partner.
