HP Expands DesignJet Portfolio

The two new systems are suited for design and AEC companies.

HP, a provider of computing hardware, has expanded its scanning portfolio with the release of the HP DesignJet SD Pro and HP DesignJet HD Pro MFPs. These two systems, the company states, deliver fast and accurate large-format scanning, copying and printing capabilities. They are suited for design and AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) firms, graphics reproduction houses and more.

The systems are available in 44- and 42-in. configurations and can be combined with the HP DesignJet PostScript ePrinter. The HP DesignJet SD Pro has a scan resolution of 1200 dpi and can print one D-size sheet in 28 seconds. It also has Ethernet connectivity for virtual printing.

“AEC and design firms often struggle with scarce space and time resources” said Alex Moñino, worldwide marketing director, Large Format Printing, HP. “Today, we are expanding our portfolio of multifunction printers, incorporating the latest scanning technology into HP DesignJet devices, delivering improved collaboration, greater print quality and productivity all-in-one”
