Siemens, thinkstep Launch New Material Management Software

Siemens PLM Software and thinkstep have created a new integrated material management software to help streamline the material lifecycle and material-driven product design. This platform, according to the companies, will help manufacturers improve product performance and reliability by gathering design, engineering, analysis, compliance and manufacturing information into one single platform.

The application is part of Siemens' Teamcenter portfolio and includes functionalities for error reduction, rework and recalls from inaccurate material data. It is also able to reuse market-tested materials for new products.
