The M4 ISO isometrics software from CAD Schroer is specifically developed for use in plant design and construction. It is used to automatically generate unscaled piping isometrics from PTC Creo Piping models or PCF files. The new version 4.0 of M4 ISO is available now.

Automatically Generate Piping Isometrics

M4 ISO uses existing 3D pipework design data to automatically create fully-dimensioned piping isometric drawings, complete with parts lists, cut-length lists, bend tables and more. The style and content of the isometric drawings are configurable, enabling M4 ISO to deliver fabrication-ready documentation, even for long and complex pipe runs.

Generate Piping Isometrics From Creo Piping

M4 ISO is available for use directly with PTC Creo Piping. The software is fully integrated into the Creo Piping user interface to provide a very simple and intuitive user experience. Piping isometrics are generated for selected Creo pipe assemblies at the push of a button. The user can easily specify the desired isometric style and other settings to suit their specific requirements. M4 ISO can also be used as an integrated solution within a PTC Windchill product life cycle.

Convert PCF Files Into Piping Isometrics

A separate M4 ISO package is available for processing pipework data from third-party plant and piping design systems. This package offers the fully-automated conversion of PCF files into piping isometrics. PCF is a commonly-used data exchange format in which pipework is described in great detail. M4 ISO can also be integrated with existing processes so that the generation of piping isometrics via the PCF format becomes completely automated.

Version 4.0 Adds Detail

With the new version 4.0 of M4 ISO, piping isometrics can be produced with even more detail. For example, individual component symbols can be automatically labelled with pre-defined notes. Continuation labels can also be automatically added at the ends of pipes to show where they connect to other pipes and equipment, making it much easier to understand and navigate complex pipe systems comprising many drawings.

Flexibility for Individual Adjustments

Version 4.0 of M4 ISO offers even more flexibility in the layout of isometrics. For example, the distances between individual lines of text in parts lists and note blocks can be predefined to ensure optimal legibility. Similarly, additional options have been provided to control the grouping and sorting of parts lists. This enables even closer configuration of the software to meet company-specific requirements. M4 ISO Version 4.0 is available now and includes an impressive range of new features.
