Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has purchased engineering services provider The S.M. Stoller Corp.

Stoller provides environmental, nuclear and technical consulting services to the government and nuclear power customers.

According to a press release, Stoller will act as a subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls in the Newport News Shipbuilding division.

The acquisition is intended to grow Newport News Shipbuilding within the Energy Department, environmental management and nuclear services markets, HII Corporate Vice President Matt Mulherin said.
