Tecplot 360, a new product tailored specifically for engineering plotting and CFD visualization, is being offered by Tecplot, Inc.(Bellevue, WA).  Tecplot 360 features integrated CFD-specificanalysis tools, a completely redesigned user interface, smart dataloading, and visualization and animation tools.

Built upon the foundation of the company's Tecplot Focus software(formerly Tecplot 10), Tecplot 360 offers all the xy, 2D, and 3Dplotting capabilities of its predecessor while also includingadditional power and tools for large data visualization and transientanalysis.

New features of Tecplot 360 include smarter loading of data, resultingin faster processing time and the ability to visualize larger datasolutions; one-click DVD-like animation controls; CFD-specific analysistools that enable users to perform spatial integrations, generateparticle trajectories, extract flow features, examine grid quality, andestimate numerical errors; and structural analysis visualization, whereusers can load FEA and CFD solutions concurrently, enabling animationof material deformation and fluid flow changes in one plot.

Tecplot 360 and Tecplot Focus are available for Windows (XP, 2000), MacOSX and Linux. Tecplot 360 is also available for most UNIXworkstations. Price: $1,250 (to start).  Visit tecplot.com for specifics.
