The 1st International Conference on Interoperability, organized by the VMAP project, will address interoperability within the computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulation and analysis sector. The conference will take place in Bamberg, Germany, May 13-14, 2020, immediately after the NAFEMS DACH Regional Conference at the same venue.

Focusing on the many aspects, problems and possible solutions in interoperability including software implementation, simulation process integration, data transfer, standards, ontologies and collaboration, this reportedly will be the first independent, international gathering focusing solely on interoperability.

Call for Papers

The call for papers is now open, inviting submissions from every industry and region from across the globe. All presentations relevant to interoperability within CAE will be welcome, but organizers are particularly interested in the following topics:

  • Standards for Interfaces and Data Formats
  • Software Solutions supporting Interoperability and Standards
  • Manufacturing Simulation
  • Process Integration and Design Optimization
  • Digital Factories and Digital Twins

Abstract Submission

Send your abstract (300 words) to [email protected] by January 24, 2020 at the latest. Abstracts must include author name, organization, address, phone number and email address.

Acceptance

Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be notified by March 1, 2020. Authors will then be asked to prepare an extended abstract (typically 1-4 pages including images) and a PowerPoint presentation. Full written papers will not be required. Extended abstracts must be submitted latest April 1st 2020.

Presentation Length

Each presentation should be no more than 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion.

Venue

  • Welcome Kongresshotel Bamberg, Mußstraße 7, 96047 Bamberg, Germany

Conference delegates can book their hotel accommodation before April 15, 2020, by clicking on this booking link. The promotional code is “VMAP.”

Delegate Fee

Free of charge for experienced experts, engineers, developers and practitioners in the field. This includes coffee breaks and dinner but does not include hotel accommodation.

The number of participants is therefore strictly limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, with acceptance being solely at the organizer’s discretion.

Participation will be limited to one person per entity; however, additional registrations can be requested from the organisers if necessary.
