CoCreate Software Inc. (Fort Collins, CO; cocreate.com)has released OneSpace Designer Modeling 2005, the latest version of itscollaborative product development and data management software.Designer Modeling 2005 is a family of products for rapid 3D modeling,2D drafting and analysis, and team-focused data management andcommunication.

Designer Modeling 2005 has a new Advanced Design module that combinesseveral previous modules into a single solution as well as adds a newmotion simulation capability. Through this one module, users alsoreceive mold design, 3D geometric dimensioning and tolerancing(GDandT), design simplification, parametric design for parts andassemblies, and 3D inspection capabilities. The new simulationcapabilities assist design verification by using motion to identifyclashes and verify real-world behavior. Designers also can capture themotion into movie files for sharing with others as part of designreviews or sales and marketing material.

Designer Modeling's surfacing module has been improved in version 2005.It now let users access more high-end surfacing tools without having toabandon their 3D design system for an industrial design package.Enhancements include predictive skinning from loosely defined surfaceboundaries, streamlined surfacing setup and modification, and otheradvanced surfacing techniques.

The Model Manager in Designer Modeling now offers increased focus onsupporting distributed design product development teams. In real time,it keeps teammates informed of part changes that could affect designs. It also provides instant-message style change notification, the abilityto run side-by-side comparisons of part versions, and fasterperformance in load times.

Designer Modeling 2005 presents a familiar Microsoft XP look and feel.To request a free evaluation CD of Designer Modeling 2005, please visithttp://www.cocreate.com/prod_eval.cfm.
