A new version of FLOW-3D from Flow Science (SantaFe, NM), a provider of computationalfluid dynamics software, offers users theability to model rigid body dynamics with full six-degrees-of-freedomfully-coupled with fluid flows. The new version, FLOW-3D 9.0 is a majorrelease for the company. Updates include new physical models and agraphical user interfacewhich has been completely overhauled and updated, says the company.
Key new features and in 9.0 include:General Moving Objects, thermal Stress Modeling, Implicit GMRES Solver, a newpressure-velocity solver, and a new algorithmthegeneralized conjugate gradient algorithmhas also been implemented forsolving viscous terms implicitly, when used with the GMRES solver.
FLOW-3D is now shipping to customers under maintenancecontracts.
