MecSoft, has released Rhino3DPRINT 2015. This is a fully integrated solution for the company's CAD system, Rhinoceros 5.0

According to the company, this platform offers efficient, easy and automatic tools for preparing 3D data. The user interface offers a dockable browser that includes house function dialogs and a ribbon interface.

For creation functions, Rhino3DPRINT offers the ability to create meshes from raw point clouds. Users also have access to Boolean Unite, Subtract and Intersect abilities. Repair abilities include Stitch & Close, Auto-fix and mesh diagnosis.

The platform also offers a host of inspection and modification functions. These include Reflection Lines and Curvature analysis. For modification, users can implement Mesh Decimation, Re-meshing and Smoothing within the platform.

To prepare files for 3D printing, Rhino3DPRINT performs 3D print checks, exporting and fitting within the 3D printer volume. It is also able to export meshes to STL or AMF file formats.

“With the launch of this new product, MecSoft is redefining CAM by offering solutions to target both Additive and Subtractive manufacturing," said Joe Anand, president and CEO of MecSoft Corporation. “As we see both of these manufacturing technologies increasingly start to coexist in shops across the world, MecSoft is uniquely positioned to offer solutions to meet the requirements of such customers.”
