Mobile Notebook Supports Intel's i7 Extreme, Xeon Processors

The D900F Panther-i7, says Eurocom (Nepean, ONT), is a notebook that can handle demanding engineering and visualization workloads and, through its support of Windows Server 2008, function as a server for many small- and mid-sized businesses. Its combination of power and notebook convenience, says Eurocom, makes the Panther-i7 suitable for software and database developers, training centers, military personnel, emergency relief organizations, service organizations, as well as engineers who must frequently travel yet require access to powerful computing,

As its name implies, the D900F Panther-i7 supports Intel's i7 series microprocessors, including the  Extreme Edition i7-975 (3.33GHz) as well as Xeon 55xx series processors, each with 8MB of L3 cache for high-speed multitasking and multithreaded performance. Supported bus speeds range from 4.8GTps up to 2x 6.4GTps. It supports as well as up to 2 TB of storage (four physical SATA-300 hard drives), RAID 0/1/5, 24GB RAM, and a variety of NVIDIA graphics accelerators.
