SilverSky, an independent provider of cloud-based managed security services, has announced the expansion of its SilverSky Labs and hiring of threat prevention expert Brandon Edwards.

SilverSky Labs currently conducts advanced threat research to identify problem areas for potential exploits and security breaches. Its core areas of focus include vulnerability research, attack simulation, reverse engineering of targeted threats and service portfolio enhancements.

Leading the expansion of SilverSky Labs will be Brandon Edwards. Edwards is credited as a leading researcher in exploiting vulnerabilities, and is a former employee of Exodus Intelligence, McAfee and HP Tipping Point ZDI.
