January 19, 2015

Tecplot has released an update to Tecplot RS, the company's reservoir simulation visualization and analysis tool for oil and gas reservoir modeling. The release not only has several new features, but also adds usability improvements from customers, the company states.

New features in Tecplot RS 2014 R2 include:

  • Conditional expressions using the IF function to build complex expressions.
  • Custom 3D view that enables rotation, zoom and other views to be saved within the project file.
  • Histogram and Cross Plots that do not require controls for limiting by range and/or a single LGR (local grid refinement).
  • Well Display options that allow users to compare multiple grid solutions as well as display all wells in matrix and fracture grids.
  • An updated CMG (computer modeling group) library that now supports the latest file formats.
Tecplot RS 2014 R2 is compatible with 64-bit Windows 7, 8 and Vista as well as Linux platforms.
