TERMS Noncontract Advertisers: Prepayment due before the publishedmaterials deadline. Discounts: 5% if payment for entire ad schedule isreceived by ad reservation deadline of first insertion.Contracted frequency advertisers may apply for net 30-day terms bycompleting and returning a Level 5 Communications, Inc., creditapplication by space deadline. A 15% discount will be given torecognized advertising agencies providing electronic files, if paymentis received within 30 days of invoice date. Invoices that remain unpaidafter 30 days will be charged interest at the rate of 1 1/2% per month.Agency discounts will be void if invoices are not paid according to net30-day terms. Rendering bill to advertising agency does not relieveadvertiser of responsibility for payment in case of nonpayment byagency. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S.bank, or may be wired per instructions on invoices.

FREQUENCY AGREEMENTS A contract period is one full year from date offirst insertion. Advertisers will be short-rated if, within a contractperiod, they do not use the amount of space upon which their billingshave been based.

RATE POLICY Rates are subject to change on 60 days' written notice fromthe publisher and become effective for all advertisers with the statedspecific issue and all issues thereafter. Advertising contracts ineffect at the time the rates change may be canceled or amended with 30days' written notice from advertisers, stating cancelation. Amendmentof the advertising contract is based solely upon refusal of the ratechange. Advertisers that cancel their contracts for any other reasonprior to completion of contract will be short-rated.

CANCELLATION POLICY Covers are contracted on a non-cancelablebasis.  Ad cancellations must be received in writing prior to thead reservation deadline, and cancellations for any space reserved willnot be accepted after the ad reservation deadline. Cancelationsreceived after materials deadline will be subject to a late cancelationfee.

ART SERVICES Desktop Engineering magazine providesproduction services at an extra cost. Advertising materials andalterations that must be sent to our printer at the proof stage ofproduction will be charged a minimum fee of $100. We recommend that admaterial be sent via a private courier service such as Federal Express,DHL, Emery, or UPS. All materials should be sent to Maribeth Buchanan,Advertising Coordinator.

PUBLISHER'S PROTECTIVE CLAUSE Advertiser and advertising agency assumeliability for all contents of advertisements (including texts,representations, illustrations, trademarks, and copyrighted matter),and shall indemnify, defend, and save harmless the publisher from anyresponsibility or liability for claims arising from the printing,publishing, circulating, or presenting of advertisements. The publisherreserves the right to reject, discontinue, or omit any advertising forany reason. The publisher reserves the right to place the word"advertisement" in advertising that, in the publisher's opinion,resembles editorial.
