ANSYS 16.1 Delivers Enterprise Cloud Simulation

By DE Editors

May 8, 2015

ANSYS has released version 16.1 of its flagship engineering simulation portfolio. Additionally, the company has launched the ANSYS Enterprise Cloud.

The Enterprise Cloud is supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and simplifies and accelerates the transition to cloud-based simulation by offering a reference architecture for end-to-end simulation, according to the company. It is delivered in a single-tenant environment to support 3D interactive graphics workloads and auto-scaling high-performance computing (HPC).

"ANSYS has supported cloud solutions for a number of years, but ANSYS Enterprise Cloud takes the simulation of complete virtual prototypes to an entirely new level by providing our full suite of comprehensive engineering simulation solutions on a global cloud platform" said Jim Cashman, ANSYS CEO. "Customers don't want to be saddled with specifying, procuring, deploying and managing simulation infrastructure. That's where ANSYS Enterprise Cloud excels. Outsourcing the simulation datacenter allows customers to focus on developing breakthrough products while freeing up capital for other investments."

In release 16.1 of the ANSYS portfolio, the company has added advancements for parametric optimization, enhanced ANSYS AIM and expanded capabilities of ANSYS Redhawk.
