Avante Technology LLC, a provider of advanced 3D printing technologies, has announced its Emendo Automated STL File Repair and Validation software. The platform automatically analyzes, repairs and validates STL files to ensure accurate technical representation before printing.

According to the company, Emendo provides users of all skill levels an easy, automatic method of validations. Users can see if their CAD file is saved as a valid manifold. If it is not, the software will automatically repair it.

To use the software, engineers can simply drag and drop a file into the application and it will automatically run validation checks. While routine errors are fixed automatically by the software, remaining errors are highlighted in a 3D display. Users can then save the newly repaired file separately, or have it replace the damaged file.

Version 1.0 for Mac OS will release in September. Windows-supported Emendo will release in November.
