The newest addition to the EIS family of large-format multi-function systems from Paradigm Imaging Group (Costa Mesa, CA) has arrived. The EIS Supra is a turnkey system designed for scanning, copying, printing, and distributing large-format documents and graphic images in a broad range of applications.

The system includes a Graphtec SK200 36 in. color scanner; a Canon iFP700 36 in. printer; Paradigm's Rocket scanner and printer controller; the ImageFLOW scanning, printing, and copying software; and a combined stand for the scanner, printer, and rocket controller. It comes with one-year on-site service in the USA and Canada.

The scanning function of the Supra's Graphtec SK200 incorporates contact image sensor technology featuring a maximum scanning width of 36 in. and true 600 dpi optical resolution with black and white/grayscale/full-color capability. The scanning top speed is 6ips in black and white at 400dpi and 2ips in color also at 400dpi.

The Rocket controller houses a 2.8 GHz Pentium4 processor with 1GB DDR and 80 GB hard drive. It is pre-installed with ImageFLOW software and is integrated with a 15 in. LCD touch-panel monitor and a compact 101 keyboard with touch pad.

The key features of the system software include touch-screen and keyboard control; interactive scan, copy, and print controls; batch scanning mode; a PhotoPRINT SE RIP engine that features hot folder print queue; and a color calibration wizard for editing existing ICC Output profiles. It supports more than 550 printers and includes more than 325 ICC output profiles.

The Canon IPF imagePROGRAF 700 is a 36 in. wide, five-color inkjet printer. It contains five 1 in. print heads with more than 15,000 nozzles. Ink wells have a maximum capacity of 130ml each. The Canon iFP700 printer is connected directly to the Rocket controller through a USB cable or to the Ethernet.

The EIS Supra list price is $16,995.
