Graebert Releases ARES Touch for Android

Graebert GmbH, a developer of CAD solutions, has released ARES Touch for Android. The mobile CAD offering is DWG-compatible and available in 14 languages.

ARES Touch is available in three versions: view-only, simple and full. Two are free to use and are great for file viewing, simple notation, dimensioning and sharing tools, the company states.

Included in the full version are features such as:

  • Picture Note: Take pictures with your mobile devices to enhance your DWG drawings ARES Touch will reference the picture with a symbol calling the image when you tap on it.

  • Quick Modify: Copy, Move, Rotate and Scale a selection of elements

  • Drawing features: Lines, polylines, circles, arcs, ellipses, splines, points, hatches

  • Editing features: Split, weld, trim, extend, align, offset, fillet, chamfer and more

  • Voice Note: Insert a comment by recording your voice

  • Blocks: Insertion and creation

  • API (application programming interface) support: C++ and Lisp APIs to add custom commands – the C++ and Lisp API of ARES Touch offers an easy way for developers willing to reuse code initially created for the desktop. They can use ARES Touch as their mobile CAD platform without in-depth Android experience and with access to the same complete set of desktop CAD tools
