HighRES Inc. (La Jolla, CA) has announced a partnership that integratesHighRES 3D reverse engineering and digitizing software with Rhinoceros(Rhino) 3D modeling tools from Robert McNeel and Associates (Seattle,WA). The HighRES for Rhino plug-in will enable Rhino users to wieldadvanced 3D reverse engineering features leverage CMMs and digitizersfrom such manufacturers as FARO, Immersion, and ROMER.

HighRES says that its programming team has worked closely with theMcNeel and Associates technical team to build HighRES for Rhino as adirect response to Rhino end-user requests. HighRES for Rhinoencompasses the complete suite of HighRES reverse engineering andverification tools, including ball-tip compensation, advancedrepeatable alignments, and cut-plane fitting as well as best-fitgeometries functionality for circles, cylinders, spheres, and planes.

HighRES for Rhino integrates with Rhino version. 3.0. It comes with aseries of tutorials on inspection and reverse engineering. To learnmore about HighRES for Rhino, click here.
