The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium has released IntelliCAD 8.1, with updates for system support and usability.

Version 8.1 now has support for Windows 10 and includes multi-core processing for opening and regenerating files. A new user interface is now available with a ribbon that can be used without or with menus and has customization options.

File support is expanded to include 2015 DWG, DGN and DWF formats. Users are also able to develop end-user applications with the Microsoft NET API (application programming interface).

"ITC members will appreciate the new IntelliCAD 8.1 multi-core processor support performance boost, additional .NET 4.5 Framework, stunning new user interface enhancements and, as always, advanced CAD compatibility. This release consolidates IntelliCAD Technology Consortium’s unique market position as the sole non-profit organization committed to the development of the most advanced CAD engine technology developed by an open group of CAD solutions providers. IntelliCAD 8.1 also sets a milestone on how the ITC community proactively addresses new challenges," says Vitor Neves, ITC chairman and president of CAD Manufacturing Solutions.
